Local News Updae: Rubbish Fire Sparks Investigation On the morning of August 11, 2024, at around 10 AM, the Pokolbin Rural Fire Brigade responded to a fire call in Cessnock. Firefighters arrived with both Cat 1 and Cat 7 tankers to find three rubbish piles ablaze. The fires were swiftly extinguished, preventing further spread. Police attended the scene and are now investigating the suspicious origins of the fires. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
